About the event

Poetry Pop-Up at Redmond Art Walk!
✨ Poetry On the Spot! ✨

Meet Captain Haiku and his motley crew of poets at the Downtown Redmond Art Walk! They’ll be creating free, quick, custom poems just for you—instant haiku and more:

✍️ Add your own line to a growing community typewriter poem, to be proudly displayed in the VALA window.
🎨 Jump into an art-prompt poetry activity and discover how images spark words.

📍 Where: Outside VALA Arts Center, Downtown Redmond

All activities are free, fun, and interactive—guided by local RASP writers.

🌟 More poetry happenings the same day:

4:45–5:30 PM — Read Local, Eat Local Poetry Reading @ Buoyant Pavilion

6:00 PM — Soulfood Poetry Night with Michele Bombardier & Matthew Nienow @ Soulfood CoffeeHouse

Come create, connect, and celebrate poetry in community!
