His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng will lead Padmasambhava group practice at Seattle Lei Tsang Si Temple before sharing jokes, Q&A and discoursing the Surangama Sutra.
Padmasambhava is often referred to as "the second buddha" by Tibetans. He established the Vajrayana teachings there at a time when demons and sorcery were endemic to the area. By defeating all of these, he turned it into the Buddhist kingdom we've all known about.
Grandmaster has taught that when one has union with Padmasambhava, his qi would infuse that person's navel chakra. Thereafter the person would have great energy and would age much slower than others, something we see in Grandmaster.
In addition to this, Padmasambhava is the most legendary tamer of all types of evil demons and wrathful gods ever to have graced the earth. Many of the spirits he tamed are still around, for example the Dorje Drakden is the principle protector of the Dalai Lamas. He was first tamed in 779 when Padmasambhava consecrated the construction of Samye monastery but he's still very active, notably in that he gives visions to the Nechung Oracle to guide the Dalai Lama.
With Grandmaster leading the practice, Padmasambhava will definitely be present and can help us to tame our demons, as well as perform all the yogic intents.
