Following a reading of Leslie Barnard Booth's new picture book, I AM WE: HOW CROWS COME TOGETHER TO SURVIVE, discuss how crows collaborate to find food, solve problems, and stay safe from predators. Find out how communication and curiosity shape the lives of crows. Then play a guessing game to explore crow vocalizations, and try your hand at some truly tricky puzzles crows have been able to solve!
Next, enjoy a reading of Andie Powers's new nonfiction picture book, WILD MOON: HOW THE LUNAR PHASES LIGHT UP OUR WORLD. Discuss each lunar phase and how it affects wildlife, take a closer look at the moon in orbit and the animals detailed in the book, then create a lunar phase craft!
