Ever wondered how many churches are in your local area? Can you find them all?
Surrey Churches Preservation Trust runs an annual charity Ride & Stride (on bikes or walking) on the second Saturday of September to raise money for both the Trust and for participating churches, with half the money raised going to each.
It is open to everyone to take part, whether church-goers or not, bikers, hikers and other visitors, whether by mobility scooter or horse. There is a suggested route involving (at least) 10 churches in the Redhill & Reigate area. How many can you visit on the day?
You can of course do less (or more) depending upon your abilities and mode of transport! If you can RSVP to this event or complete the sign-up form at the back of the church, we can email you an individual form to start asking for sponsors. It would be a lovely idea to do this as a church group and visit some of our neighbouring churches in the process!
If you don’t feel you can take part, then why not sponsor the members of the congregation?
