About the event

Bletchfest's Comedy Night

A Night of Stand‑Up Heavyweights: Mike Gunn, Fiona Allen, Alistair Barrie — Hosted by Louie Green

Get ready for a comedy lineup so strong it should come with a health warning. Four of the UK’s most distinctive, sharp‑witted performers are coming together for one unmissable night of stand‑up brilliance — held together by one of the warmest, funniest comperes on the circuit.

Mike Gunn

A master of dry humour and beautifully bleak punchlines, Mike Gunn has spent over twenty years turning life’s darker corners into comedy gold. From critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe shows like Good Grief and Uncut to appearances on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Gunn’s blend of cynicism, charm, and razor‑sharp storytelling has made him a favourite across the UK and beyond. Expect intelligence, edge, and immaculate timing.

Fiona Allen

Comedy royalty returns to the stage. Best known as a co‑creator and star of the iconic, BAFTA‑winning Smack the Pony, Fiona Allen has been a defining voice in British sketch comedy. After years of acclaimed acting roles in shows like Coronation Street and Waterloo Road, she stormed back into stand‑up with her hit Fringe show On The Run—a hilarious, candid dive into life, family, and everything in between. Fiona brings warmth, wit, and a brilliantly skewed view of the everyday.

Alistair Barrie

One of the most travelled and respected comedians on the circuit, Alistair Barrie is a global stand‑up force. A regular at London’s Comedy Store, he’s performed in over 40 countries, smashed sets at Glastonbury, Latitude, and Bestival, and earned multiple Edinburgh Fringe Best Show nominations. His shows have sold out from Melbourne to New Zealand, and he’s a familiar voice on BBC Scotland’s Breaking the News, Times Radio, and Radio 4. Smart, political, playful, and effortlessly funny, Barrie brings the firepower.

Hosted by Louie Green

Holding the night together is Suffolk’s own Louie Green — a natural storyteller with the kind of easy, working‑class charm that makes audiences feel instantly at home. Known for his clever crowd work, warm presence, and the uncanny ability to make a room feel like a pub full of old mates, Louie is the perfect guide through an evening of top‑tier comedy. He’s earned his stripes in major clubs across the UK, praised for his relatable humour, sharp lines, and the kind of likeability you simply can’t fake. Louie doesn’t just introduce acts — he builds a community in the room, one laugh at a time.

Four comedy powerhouses. One stage. One unforgettable night.

Grab your tickets, bring your mates, and prepare for a show that hits every corner of the comedy map — from dark and deadpan to bold, brilliant, and joyfully absurd.

With a licensed bar and plenty of free parking the comedy gets underway at Bletchingley Village Hall at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm.
