Count Basie Center Dia de Muertos Celebration

Celebrate Día de Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead—a vibrant celebration of life and remembrance.

4pm: Pre-show activities crafts, facepainting, and more!
5pm: Calpulli Mexican Dance Company and Red Bank Calpulli Community performances
Calpulli Mexican Dance Company will present excerpts from their piece, Dia de los Muertos. Using both folk and classical music and dance, Dia de los Muertos explores a love story that spans the boundary between the living and the departed.

This work has become a new holiday classic for the Company and is a wonderful way to connect with audiences of all backgrounds.

The celebration also includes special performances from the Red Bank Calpulli Community dancers!
