AUDITION PREP
Prepare cuts of two songs (about one minute each) that would potentially be performed in the Haunted Cabaret, and bring sheet music for the accompanist or a backing track. No a capella. Sorry, no Disney songs in the cabaret due to licensing requirements. Additionally, please complete the Cabaret Audition Form and bring it with you to your audition.

SUGGESTED SHOWS
To give you an idea of what this cabaret is about, consider songs from The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Ghost the Musical, Hadestown, Jekyll and Hyde, The Phantom of the Opera, etc. But you can also consider songs by characters that haunt you, such as Empty Chairs at Empty Tables from Lés Miserables. Be creative and think outside the box!
REHEARSALS
• Wednesday, October 15, 7–9 PM
• Wednesday, October 22, 7–9 PM
Attendance at both rehearsals is mandatory if cast in the cabaret. In addition to singing their solo song(s), all cast members will also perform in group numbers.
OPTIONAL GROUP NUMBER
We will be looking for six cast members to perform in the optional group number Cell Block Tango from Chicago. Those six cast members will be required to attend extra rehearsal time, which will be determined at the first rehearsal.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Adult cast members are required to become a member of Colonial Chorus Inc. by paying annual dues of $25 for the season that runs June 2025–May 2026. If you are already a current member, you do not have to pay any other fees.
