Community Conversation: Improving Accessibility at the Library

If you missed our Community Conversation in August, we are offering another opportunity in September!

We have exciting news to share! Readfield Community Library is proud to be chosen to be part of Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an initiative of the American Library Association in collaboration with the Association for Rural and Small Libraries. The competitive award comes with a $10,000 grant that will help the library improve the library’s parking, walkway, and entrance to provide better accessibility for residents with mobility disabilities. Stay tuned for more details as we get started on this important work!

We want to hear from you! Library/town officials will host a “Community Conversation” discussion on what we can do to improve the overall accessibility of our library facilities for patrons with mobility issues. If you would like to contribute to this community conversation, please join us on Tuesday, September 16 at 4:00pm at the Readfield Library (1151 Main Street) to chat about how we can be more accessible for all.
