End of Season Star Party - Featuring The Geminid Meteor Shower

Wrap up the season under the stars at Branched Oak Observatory’s End of Season Star Party on Dec 13, 7 PM–Midnight.

This year’s event is timed with the peak of the Geminid Meteor Shower, one of the year’s most dazzling shows; expect bright, often colorful meteors streaking across the sky. We’ll have telescopes for up-close views of beautiful deep-space objects, guided constellation tours, warm-up space indoors, and meteor-watching areas where you can recline and enjoy the sky.

Although we can't guarantee a bevy of meteors will light up the sky, we can promise amazing views of the planets Saturn and Jupiter, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Great Orion Nebula, the Pleiades Star Cluster and many more if the weather cooperates.

This is a family friendly event and perfect for first-time stargazers. Be sure to bundle up! Feel free to bring a folding chair and/or blankets. $10 for Adults. $5 for Children.
