Hunt, Pleasure, and Junior Divisions/Awards
Have a great time competing in a relaxed, fun pace over courses that are approximately 6 miles. All jumps are optional and can be ridden around or through a gate. The marked course will wind through beautiful open farmland and wooded trails and will be marked well enough that you DO NOT need to walk them. Side Saddle Riders please join us!!!
Series Awards: This event is part of a series of eight hunter paces held throughout Virginia. Points will be accumulated from each pace for each division. The series winners of each division will receive a year-end award.
Divisions: Teams will be judged on optimum time in each division: Hunt (jump), Pleasure (flat), and Junior (at least one junior under 16 on the team). 1st place prizes and ribbons through 4th place will be awarded. Other divisions and awards may be offered by individual hunts - check with them for details.
Entry Fees: $50 each adult; $25 each junior (under 16).
Attire: Safety helmets are required. Otherwise, whatever makes you comfortable.
Details: Registration, including fees and waiver, must be done online ahead of time. We strongly recommend you sign up as a team to guarantee the timeslot is open for everyone on the team. Teams of 4 max.
Please bring a hard copy of a negative Coggins with you that you can leave with the secretary. You will not be allowed to compete without it.
Children may be ponied.
Snacks and drinks will be available
Unsound horses will not be allowed to participate.
Dogs are NOT permitted.
