Dear Members of Calvary Lutheran Church,
The Call Committee, after much prayerful work and discernment, has recommended Pastor Timothy O’Shields as a candidate for our next Lead Pastor. The Church Council has reviewed this recommendation and unanimously approved him to be brought before the congregation for consideration, as required by our constitution.
We are inviting the entire congregation to a Meet & Greet with Pastor Tim on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, during our regular evening meal. Pastor Tim will share a short devotion and prayer and then spend time meeting as many members as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to personally greet him.
Following the evening meal, Pastor Tim will step away, and the congregation will gather for a vote of call immediately after the 6:30 p.m. worship service (approximately 7:00 p.m.). Per our church constitution, a two-thirds majority vote of members present is required in order to extend a formal call to any pastoral candidate.
We are truly excited about this opportunity to call a new pastor and believe this is the next step in our church’s rich history. We strongly encourage all members to attend this important evening in the life of Calvary. Your presence, prayers, and participation are vital as we move forward together in faith.
