During this Intro to Cow Working Clinic, you and your horse will learn the foundational skills of working a cow with confidence and control. Michael will help you develop the feel and timing it takes to read cattle, position your horse correctly, and maintain calm, effective energy in real-life situations.
What You’ll Work On:
Reading and tracking cattle with purpose
Correct positioning and control of the cow
Building softness, focus, and responsiveness in your horse
Improving stops, turns, and transitions with meaning behind them
Developing confidence in both horse and rider around cattle
Understanding cow working rules and how they apply to your horsemanship
This clinic is perfect for riders who:
Have never worked cattle before and want a safe, supportive introduction
Want to improve their horse’s responsiveness and purpose in the pen
Looking to add more fun and new experiences with your horse with cattle.
Michael tailors each clinic to the experience level of his participants so whether you’re brand new to cow work or refining your skills, you’ll get individualized guidance that meets you where you are.
