VEMA Raleigh hosts Reading of the Names

Each September since 2018, VEMA hosts the Reading of the Names in honor and remembrance of Chief T. Chief T was one of the original group of Vietnam Vets that started this event in the 1980’s. Chief T joined VEMA in 2015 and passed away from mesothelioma in September 2017.
The Reading of the Names is a monthly event held to remember North Carolina’s Service Members that have not yet returned home from the Vietnam War. The event starts promptly at 12:00 noon at the NC State Capitol Vietnam Memorial.
