Pull out your ugliest holiday sweater and join us for a festive afternoon of craft beer, cider, and cheer!
On Saturday, Dec. 13, from 1:30–3:30 p.m., we’ll explore two local favorites in Raleigh’s Whitaker Mill neighborhood — Lynnwood Brewing Concern and East Bower Cider Co. Take a break from holiday shopping to sip seasonal beer and cider, enjoy light appetizers, and learn a bit about the history of craft brewing in Raleigh and across North Carolina.
We’ll start at Lynnwood Brewing Concern for beer and bites before taking a short walk over to East Bower Cider Co. for more holiday flavor. Weather permitting, we’ll soak up the cozy outdoor atmosphere that makes these spots so special.
And of course — come dressed for fun! The guest wearing the ugliest sweater will win a Taps & Corks Tours t-shirt, plus bragging rights for the season. You might even discover a few beers or ciders that make perfect stocking stuffers for Santa’s list!
Your guide Natalie Hampton, owner of Tarheel Taps & Corks, has spent more than a decade writing about North Carolina beer and wine on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She loves sharing her passion for NC craft beverages through walking tours — especially during the most wonderful time of the beer!
Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10 minutes early to park at the venue and locate the group.
