About the event

Tar River Poetry Live Reading
Join us for a live reading of submissions and winners from the Tar River Poetry Contest during End Paper, our biannual art book fair.

The Tar River Poetry Contest is accepting submissions until Saturday, May 31, 2025. Each entry can include up to two previously unpublished poems. The entry fee is $22 per poem. Each poem should be 30 lines or less and respond to a work of art. Tar River Poetry is particularly encouraging submissions written in response to one of the more than 4,000 works in the NCMA’s permanent collection, which may be viewed online.
