The Capitol in Partnership with Hum Sub will host the exhibit “A Place We Call Home: Indian Americans in North Carolina” from Saturday, September 6th to Tuesday, September 30th.
The exhibition features a variety of topics, ranging from the Indian community in North Carolina, to traditional Indian culture, weddings, and festivals. It will also feature Indian American contributions in business, science, and academia in North Carolina.
On Saturday, September 6th, from 3-6pm, there will be an exhibit opening with traditional and modern musical performances, food, and Mehndi. This event is free, and all are welcome to attend; no RSVP is necessary.
This exhibition is created to celebrate the growing Indian community in North Carolina. Compiled in partnership with Hum Sub members, this exhibit aims to explore and educate. Visitors to the Capitol can see this exhibit Monday-Friday, 9-5 and Saturdays 10-5.
