37th Annual Walk for Hope & Festival – Conquering Mental Illness Together
Since 1987 the Walk for Hope has brought our community together to fund groundbreaking scientific research into the causes and treatments of mental illness at UNC–Chapel Hill. Now in its 37th year this iconic Raleigh tradition is more than a walk it’s a movement of hope healing and community.
Choose from a scenic 5K walk down Glenwood Ave through Umstead State Park or a peaceful 1-mile nature loop around the lake — both offering the chance to walk side by side with friends family and neighbors in support of mental health.
But the real celebration begins when you cross the finish line (or you can head straight to the festival!). Your registration unlocks full access to the Walk for Hope Festival an all-inclusive day of fun featuring:
Live music from North Carolina’s legendary Band of Oz
Delicious food prepared by the iconic Angus Barn
Local vendors showcasing their best products and treats
