Experience the Challenge: Traverse 26.2 miles through the 5,000-acre wilderness of William B. Umstead State Park. The demanding course features a dynamic blend of 25% technical single-track trails and 75% runnable fine gravel bridle paths. Prepare for a course that features roughly 2,400 feet of total elevation gain, that showcase the park's lush forests, tranquil lakes, and winding streams.
Runner Perks & Support: Race amenities include fully supported aid stations offering hydration and fuel every 2-4 miles on the course. These stations are maintained by our team of dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers who are ready to support your race. There are also plenty of course monitors to guide you. Celebrate your accomplishment with a satisfying post-race meal at the finish line. Every runner receives a commemorative race t-shirt and a unique finisher's pint glass award. The top 15 male and female overall finishers will be recognized with a handcrafted, locally sourced award.
Supporting Conservation: All event proceeds are dedicated to the preservation and improvement of William B. Umstead State Park, alongside supporting the local running initiatives of the Carolina Godiva Track Club.
