With its inventive mix of humor, suspense, and dazzling animation techniques, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” redefined what was possible in filmmaking and remains a beloved classic. The film notably won a Special Achievement Oscar in Animation Direction for its landmark innovation and was selected for inclusion in the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry in 2016.

Set in 1940s Hollywood, the plot follows Eddie Valiant (played by Bob Hoskins), a hard-boiled private detective who despises toons, as he gets pulled into a wild case involving the zany, lovable cartoon star Roger Rabbit (voiced by Charles Fleischer) and his wife, the sultry Jessica Rabbit (voiced by Kathleen Turner and Amy Irving). When Roger is accused of murdering a powerful businessman, Eddie reluctantly teams up with him to clear his name.
