What can we learn from the bones? ... A lot!

Rexos in conjunction with Denali Equine are excited to start sharing the stories of the horses we have either dissected or necropsied over the past two years. Many do not know we have over 20 skeletons in our possession in Vass NC. Each of these bodies tells a very vivid story. We owe it to these horses to share what was known, what we found that was unknown, and what horses can and cannot compensate with. For example- several horses had fractures within their spine! These horses were ridable and had full work ups- yet these fractures were not detected.

We will be giving a presentation during the 5 Points Horse Trials on what the bones tell us. We will be looking at how the bones connect, how they move, how changes can influence movement, and what pathology may be hidden past all through veterinary work ups!
