Music has the power to tell stories that words alone cannot express. Join the Racine Symphony Orchestra for a profound and moving performance featuring the Violins of Hope, a collection of instruments once played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust. These violins, restored and brought back to life, now serve as powerful symbols of resilience, remembrance, and unity.
In partnership with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), this special evening will feature Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances No. 3 and Max Richter’s evocative The Four Seasons Recomposed, performed by violin soloist Alexander Mandl. These works bridge past and present, honoring the voices of history while inspiring hope for the future.
The Violins of Hope initiative extends far beyond the stage, inviting communities to reflect on the lessons of the past and engage in meaningful conversations about the power of music to heal and transform. We invite you to be part of this unforgettable experience.
Learn more about the Violins of Hope project and its impact on our region through MYSO’s extensive educational and community engagement programs.
