☀️ When: Wednesday, October 22nd at 10 AM
☀️ Where: Meet at the entrance to the Columbine Campground
☀️ What to Expect: A day filled with fun and trail maintenance! Work will consist of using pick mattocks, McLeods, and shovels to improve drainage on the trail and of using loppers and hand saws to cut back encroaching vegetation.
The hike into the worksite is about 2 miles and is a gentle but steady uphill climb. Expect to hike 6-7 miles roundtrip. We'll be hiking in 2 miles along the Columbine Canyon trail (8,000') and working our way up the trail from there.
☀️ What to Bring: Please wear long pants, sturdy hiking shoes/work boots, work gloves, and eye protection (sunglasses okay).
Bring a day pack with plenty of food and water, sunscreen, layers, and rain gear. *We will be on the trail all day and not returning to the cars for lunch*
ECTA will provide the hard hats and tools.
