Saturday Arts Social series for our 60+ community.
Explore the emotional and symbolic potential of everyday objects in this reflective art-making workshop with artist Lucca Rodriguez.
Inspired by surreal and expressive approaches from artists like Magritte, Matisse, Frida Kahlo and Picasso, you’ll begin by choosing a personal or familiar object - a cup, flower, shoe, or photo - and use it as a starting point for creative transformation.
Through guided techniques combining collage and ink, you’ll reimagine the object using memory, distortion, and imagination, allowing it to shift, fragment, and speak in new visual ways.
No experience is needed. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore your stories through art in a relaxed, open setting.
