Are you on a private water supply? Come chat with QLDC & ORC! 💧
Some households in our district use drinking water that isn’t from a Council supply. If that’s you, it’s important to know that naturally occurring arsenic can be found in Otago’s schist rock, and regular testing helps keep your water safe.
QLDC and ORC are hosting drop-in sessions next week where you can ask questions, learn about water testing, and speak with Environmental Health Officers. If you’re on a private bore, spring, or other non-Council water supply, come along for advice on testing options, learn what to check for (including arsenic and E. coli), and where to get accredited support.
If you’re on a Council water supply, you can disregard this information, your water is routinely monitored.
