Course Overview
This course is designed for first-time snorkellers or those wanting to feel more confident and relaxed in the water. You’ll learn essential snorkelling skills, equipment use, and ocean awareness in a calm, supportive environment.
Our focus is comfort, safety, and enjoyment — not breath-holding or performance. By the end of the session, you’ll feel capable exploring shallow reefs, bays, and coastal environments with confidence.

What You’ll Learn
1. Equipment & Setup
- Mask fitting and clearing
- Snorkel types and breathing technique
- Fin selection and efficient kicking
- Exposure protection (wetsuits, thermal comfort)
2. Water Confidence & Technique
- Relaxed surface breathing
- Body position and buoyancy
- Finning efficiency (no wasted energy)
- Managing mild anxiety and water stress
3. Ocean Awareness & Safety
- Reading basic ocean conditions
- Entry and exit techniques
- Buddy awareness and positioning
- Identifying fatigue and cold stress early
4. Guided Snorkelling Experience
- Calm, shallow-water exploration
- Instructor-led navigation and pacing
