Katie Webster Quartet

Katie Webster is an alto saxophonist, composer and improviser. Originally from Seattle, Washington, and now based in Brooklyn, NY, Webster’s quartet performs original works that are often characterized by angular whimsical melodies and frame bold, expressive improvisations.

Webster has performed at international venues and festivals including Bird’s Eye Jazz Club (CH), Porgy and Bess (AT), The Loft Köln (DE), Bern International Jazz Festival (CH), Vermont Jazz Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Monterey Jazz Festival. She has played in bands led by musicians such as Tony Malaby, Pablo Held, and Julia Hülsmann. Fascinated by the relationship between music, storytelling, and visual media, in August 2024 Webster released an EP of her ongoing project “Within the Garden We

Planted.”
