Moderated by Pauline Forlenza, Director and CEO of the AFA, the discussion will explore how to thoughtfully begin an art collection and the ongoing responsibilities of caring for and preserving works for future generations.

The talk begins at 6:00 PM, followed by private tours and a reception at 6:45 PM. Guests will enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at UOVO’s state-of-the-art facility and how collections are safeguarded and preserved.

About George Wells

George Wells is the Founder of the Wells Group, an interim CFO and Controller consulting firm based in New York City. Beyond his professional achievements, George is deeply committed to philanthropy and the arts. In 2020, he donated a $1 million contemporary art collection to his alma mater, Morehouse College, featuring works by prominent artists such as McArthur Binion, Ivy Haldeman, and Amy Sherald. This generous gift underscores his dedication to supporting artists of color and fostering diversity in the arts.
