Wamboin Community Christmas Carols

WAMBOIN COMMUNITY CAROLS NIGHT
Its coming fast - the annual Wamboin Community Carols Night! Put on by the Wamboin Community Association this is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year with a community get together.

This is a non-denominational event and the emphasis is on the community enjoying themselves particularly the younger residents. However it is not for free. Admission to the event is a gift under the Christmas tree for the Salvation Army people to take to someone less fortunate. Any gift is acceptable and remember teenagers and the elderly need gifts too. The Salvation Army will be there to collect gifts and they are always touched by the generosity of the people in Wamboin.

The night features carol singing ably supported by local music group Poetry in Motion; the telling of the Christmas story (in its rather unique style); a performance by Sutton School Choir; a BBQ (gold coin donation which also goes to the Salvo’s); fresh fruit trays; drinks; (once again gold coin donation) and of course the arrival of Santa to distribute gift bags to the children. The date for this extravaganza is 5th December 2025 at 7:00 pm sharp at the Community Hall in Bingley Way. So please come along
and enjoy yourselves.

Organizing the Xmas Play is always a special event for me. The children love to take part and dress up and they always bring their own interpretation to a very old story. Its often funny, always exciting and definitely worth it. If you would like your child to take part in the play please ring me Jenny Richards on 0490020165; we can always use little angels, little sheep and little shepherds. Some costumes are supplied but if you can supply one for your child that would be great. Hope to see many of you there.
