Quantico Single Marine Program (SMP): Future Marine Bootcamp Volunteers

SINGLE MARINES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Welcome to the Future Marine Kids Bootcamp!

Come join us at Barnett Field, Quantico MCB, VA for an exciting day filled with fun activities where kids learn about the Marine Corps.

In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Marine Corps, Marine Corps Community Services and partners will host an event that teaches children about the life of a Marine, while emphasizing the importance of community and encouraging recruitment for the Marine Corps. The MCFTB L.I.N.K.S. curriculum will create the foundation of the event, walking children from enlistment through bootcamp. At Bootcamp, they will have their physical and mental fitness tested. Once they pass bootcamp, they will learn about volunteering, making friends, and keeping their environment clean. As the event winds down, everyone will hear encouraging words from the guest speaker (TBD) and the children will be declared Future Marines.

• Registrants will be split into approximately 5 groups with 2 leaders.
• Each group will travel together to the different “Zones,” they will have about 20 minutes per zone to engage in the Zone’s activities.
• The Zones are as follows: History and Culture, Physical Fitness, Skills Training, Mental Fitness and Social (building your network and community)
