BOOK LAUNCH Chile since the coup: Counterrevolution, resistance and the Palestine Connection

A panel discussion based on the recently published Chile 1973-2023: Contrarrevolución y Resistencia (Verso, 2 vols, 2024)

Fifty years on from the US-backed fascist coup of 11 September 1973 we debate the global effects of dictatorship and caged democracy based on Chile 1973-2023: Contrarrevolución y Resistencia (Verso, 2 vols, 2024). The publication project integrates diverse perspectives on the coup, the world’s first neoliberal economy and popular resistance. Chile is also home to the largest Palestinian diaspora outside of West Asia, and we discuss Palestinian resistance to Zionist genocide and international solidarity from Chile and beyond.
