Group honey day!
Got just a few frames to extract? Not worth the mess on your own? Only free on a Saturday? Never extracted honey before?
Come join in on a Club Honey day Sat Aug 23rd, 10am - 2pm. This will be taking the place of our regularly scheduled apiary day, since the bees are ... Spicy, and not wanting to be inspected lately! 😂😅
We have about a box and a half of frames from our club hives which will go towards our honey sales at the spring fair and we'd love extra hands to process it. 🙏. Since we are already making a mess, you're welcome to join in: bring a couple frames, and take home a jar of honey! You will need to bring your own jars or small bucket.. a deep frame will easily fill 1-2 quart jars, a full box 3-5 gallons, so bring more than you think you'll need! Although, if you have a full box or more I would recommend renting your own four hour time slot to use the honey house lol. We will have everything else needed, including a food grade bucket with a honey spout and a strainer on hand. Honey extracting takes a good chunk of time, but the more hands the faster it will go. If you have extra honey, consider donating some of your harvest to the club stash to sell at events in exchange for using the honey house. 😊

We will be meeting at THE HONEY HOUSE. Park alongside the barn, NOT in front of the green and white building as that is a residential space who are not ok with us parking in their "driveway"
