1920s inspired Draped Felt Cloche

In this 90-minute demonstration, Tina Giuntini of Bea & Evie Millinery will introduce participants to the art of free-form felt draping — a couture millinery technique used to sculpt soft velour felt into elegant, vintage-inspired hat forms.

Attendees will see how basic tools and hand-sewing methods can transform flat felt into fluid, sculptural shapes. This draping technique, traditionally used for 1920s cloches, offers a wide range of creative possibilities and is ideal for both beginners and experienced sewists looking to expand their skills into millinery.

This demo will provide an inspiring glimpse into Tina’s full workshop, where students create a finished hat of their own design.
