Meet Your Facilitator: Dolly – A Garden of Wisdom & Heart
Dolly brings a vibrant blend of compassion, expertise, and deep-rooted love for gardening to every workshop she leads. Born in Puerto Rico and having spent her nursing career in the heart of New York City, Dolly transitioned into a second calling that beautifully merges healing and horticulture.
After moving to Charlotte County, she served for 17 years as a Horticultural Therapist at Tidewell Hospice, using the power of plants to bring comfort and connection to others. A Master Gardener Volunteer for over 24 years, Dolly has shared her knowledge through countless horticulture classes at senior living communities, schools, garden clubs, and more.
She’s a beloved speaker at the Fort Myers Garden Council and a cornerstone of the Charlotte County Master Gardeners. Her dedication to the Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens began even before its public opening, and her presence continues to brighten the lives of staff, volunteers, and visitors alike.
🌿 Dolly’s workshops are more than just educational—they’re soulful, inspiring, and rooted in a genuine love for nature and people. They are sponsored and supported by the Charlotte IFAS Master Gardening Program.
