Unknown Tales of Colorado's 10th Mountain Division - Dinner Program

Colorado’s 10th Mountain Division, formed during World War II, trained at high-altitude, Camp Hale, near Leadville. The story is quite well-known, but, in researching Ski, Climb, Fight: The 10th Mountain Division and the Rise of Mountain Warfare, historian, Dr. Lance Blyth, discovered some unknown tales.

Did you know that the unit designated 10th Mountain Division was never at Camp Hale? Did you know that the mountain division did not have a lot of expert civilian skiers and mountaineers?
