Day of the Dead Altars

Learn about the Indigenous roots behind Day of the Dead celebrations, and explore ways to create your own altar!!! Called Xantolo in the Aztec Mexhika tradition, the Day of the Dead is a contemporary celebration with an ancient history. Learn about Day of the Dead of our ancestors, & help preserve these traditions into the future!!!

NOTE: Day of the Dead is an ancestral practice of the Indigenous people of this continent and should NEVER be culturally appropriated.......if you are from a European background, it is encouraged to research the cultural practices of your own lineage, in order to honor your ancestors according to their own customs.

Class will be Sunday, Oct 26th from 130-230pm at the Main Library!!
