Breastfeeding doesn’t always feel natural in the early weeks - even though everyone says it should.
You might be wondering:
• Why is my baby feeding so often?
• Why does it hurt?
• Are they getting enough milk?
• Am I doing something wrong?
You are not doing anything wrong.
The mumabuba breastfeeding circle is a gentle weekly space for pregnant women and mothers with young babies to receive breastfeeding support, reassurance, and to spend time alongside other mothers and babies.
Sometimes the most helpful thing is not just advice - it is seeing another mother feed her baby, hearing that what you are experiencing is normal, and realising you are not alone.
The group is facilitated by Jo, privately practising International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
This free community group is part of mumabuba’s commitment to supporting women during the early weeks after birth - the time when many mothers quietly struggle and often have the least support available.
You are welcome during pregnancy, in the early weeks after your baby arrives, or if you simply want reassurance that things are on track.
Please note: To keep the space calm and supportive for new mothers, the circle is for mothers and babies only (no toddlers).
If more complex breastfeeding challenges arise, individual lactation consultations are also available.
