Carlos wants to make one thing clear: there's Vegas nightlife, and then there's Vegas nightlife. The tourist version and the real one. He covers both, but he lives in the second. He moved here from Phoenix fifteen years ago for a DJ residency that lasted eight months. Never left. Turns out the city needed someone who could write about what's actually happening—not just the pool parties and megaclubs, but the comedy shows at smaller rooms, the live music venues off the Strip, the food festivals in the Arts District, the open mics where locals actually go. Carlos has seen the Strip change three times over. He knows which clubs are worth the cover and which ones are just charging for the name. He's got relationships with every booking agent, promoter, and venue manager in town. They tell him things before they announce them. He lives in Summerlin, drives everywhere (this is Vegas), and writes for AllEvents because someone should be documenting the city beyond the obvious. The obvious doesn't need help. His guides include the spectacle when it's worth it and skip it when it's not. That's the whole approach.
