Free Movie Night

Join us for a night at the movies to watch Green and Gold, starring Craig T. Nelson. The movie beautifully captures the sacrifices and struggles of farmers in a changing world. It explores the emotional toll of farming and the importance of finding hope and strength within our community and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit. Simply put, the movie depicts the life struggles some of our family farmers are facing today.

The movie features a family facing foreclosure of a Wisconsin dairy farm. With mounting debt and the land his family has cultivated for four generations at risk, Buck (Craig T. Nelson) refuses to give up his legacy without a fight. Bucks’ granddaughter works alongside him but dreams of a career in music. Her aspirations are fanned by an emerging friendship with a famous musician, but chasing her dreams might take her far from home. With time running out, Buck places a daring Super Bowl bet on his beloved Green Bay Packers, risking it all to save everything he holds dear.

Bureau County Farm Bureau and Culvers are providing the opportunity for everyone to see the film at the Apollo Theater in Princeton. The screening will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 23. Attendees will receive free entry, drink and popcorn. Other refreshments will be available for purchase.

Tickets are available at the Princeton Culvers or the Bureau County Farm Bureau before June 16th. Although ticket reservations are appreciated, unticked entrance on the night of the event will be available as long as space permits.
