Ever wished Prince George had a sewing class for grown-ups?
Ever stared at your sewing machine and wondered if it was mocking you? Has winding a bobbin ever filled you with dread? Well, this class is for you!
This is a BYOSM (Bring Your Own Sewing Machine) adventure. Don’t have one? No stress, we’ve got 4 extras that can tag in if you’re machine-less.
Over 4 weeks, you’ll:
Finally understand what all those stitches actually do.
Conquer the mysterious zipper.
Get comfy (and maybe even confident) with your machine.
Make your very own zippered pouch!
And if you’re a fast finisher? You’ll have the option to whip up a bonus pincushion.
Your guides on this sewing quest are sisters Madison and Mercedes Minck, a duo who live for making things and love helping others fall in love with fibre arts.
Where? Omineca Arts Centre
When? Tuesdays, Oct 14 – Nov 4 – 6-8:30 pm
We’ll provide the materials (unless you have fabric you’re itching to use! Bring it along!).
All you need is your sewing machine, a pinch of curiosity, and an open mind. By the end, you’ll not only know how to sew, you might just start questioning why you didn’t learn sooner.
Spots are limited (and so are the spare machines) so snag your seat before they’re gone!
