Take your sourdough game to the next level during this workshop that focuses on boosting your sourdough with additional ingredients

About this Event

**Sourdough Level I or Level II are recommended as a pre-requisite to the Enhanced Sourdough Experience as we'll be building on the base information and recipes created during either of these experiences.

In this workshop, learn how to jazz up your classic sourdough bread and even alter the schedule of your bread by adding a touch of commercial yeast.


We'll be making 2 different breads with 2 very different additions in this workshop:
1 recipe will be built as a group, and 1 recipe will be built by each individual person


We will work with and talk about liquid add-ins, such as a vegetable puree, tea, milk, beer. And we'll work with and talk about solid add-ins, such as nuts, seeds, cooked grain, etc.


We will chat all about Baker's %, and how you can create a recipe with add-ins to suit your taste buds. I will guide you through an exercise to help you build a few of your own unique recipes for future baking adventures.

During this workshop, we will make and bake 1 loaf of bread, as well as make and shape 2 other loaves of bread that will be going home with you to bake the following day. We will talk about your sourdough starter and answer any questions that come up about maintenance, what's going on at home, different ways you can put your starter on hold while you're away, or at least away from baking (and not have to worry about it one bit), how to boost activity. ALL of the questions and information you need to get you feeling more comfortable and confident to continue caring for your little culture of life.

As always with any of my sourdough workshops, a hand-crafted lunch will be included as a part of the day. As well, we'll be working with adding a few different things to our breads that branch outside of the world of flour and gluten.

This workshop takes place at a private baking studio in the heart of Grey County, right along the Saugeen River. All workshop tickets are final sale. Should the event date come and you are no longer able to attend, feel free to send someone else in your place. Please just get in touch to notify of the modifications so I know who to expect!

I will have all of the tools, equipment, ingredients, snacks, etc. that you'll need or want for the day. Just bring yourself, your questions, your curiosity, and enjoy the day!
