It will focus on strengthening Africa’s research ecosystem through smart partnerships, interdisciplinary research, and innovation-driven knowledge systems. SFSA is an annual flagship event convened by the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) in collaboration with Science Diplomacy Capital for Africa (SDCfA) and Universities of South Africa (USAf). The 2025 Forum, themed “Igniting Conversations about Science: Placing Science, Technology and Innovation at the Centre of Government, Education, Industry, and Society,” fosters dialogue across sectors on the role of science in social and economic transformation.
