KALEIDOSCOPES 2025

The Association of Arts, Pretoria proudly announces Kaleidoscopes 2025, curated by Hendrien Horn. This exhibition brings together the work of thirty South African ceramic artists in a celebration of pattern, repetition, distortion and reinvention.

Clay from the earth has been pushed, pinched, cast, coiled, moulded and carved into objects that reflect a diverse spectrum of voices and visions. Each mark, hue and form convey intention. Whether bold and exuberant or quiet and subtle, these works invite us to pay attention to what they portray through colour, line and shape. This is an invitation to regard ceramics not as static objects, but as part of a dynamic visual language - the language of art, the language of appreciation. The varieties are endless, innovative and highly creative.

The exhibition will be opened by Nonhle Nkosi (Chairperson: Ceramics Southern Africa, Gauteng) on Saturday 30 August at 11:00 and will run until 20 September.
