Wildlife call recognition using AI. Dr Peter Griffioen

Peter will talk about his work using artificial intelligence (AI) to rapidly identify wildlife calls. He has developed software that can be trained to listen to recordings and rapidly identify the calls of frogs, birds, bats and other mammals. This technology is making acoustic monitoring more cost-effective, allowing for larger areas to be surveyed and new species to be detected from existing recordings.
