We are aiming to make this an annual event!
The Wild West History Forum is part of Prescott's Doc HolliDaze 3-day event, and hopefully the first annual. It will be held in the Arizona Room (or Marina Room depending on the number of tickets sold) of the beautiful Hassayampa Inn at 122 E. Gurley Street.
We have a powerhouse lineup of speakers: They will be Bob Boze Bell, Michael Paul Mihaljevich, and Victoria Wilcox. For those who want to attend the forum only, a $20 entrance fee is being made available at the Western Heritage Center on Whiskey Row. After purchase, your name will be added to a list that will be at the entrance the morning of the event. A light breakfast, buffet style, will be available at 8 am.
Bob Boze Bell will be presenting "Finding Doc Holliday in the Strangest Places: My Historic and Artistic Search for the Real John Henry Holliday."
Michael Paul Mihaljevich: "Empire of an Immigrant: How Hugh McCrum Courted Legend in the American West." McCrum has strong ties to the Palace Saloon in Prescott.
Victoria Wilcox: "Doc Holliday: Portraits of a Legend."
The forum's emcee will be Stuart Rosebrook, Ph.D, executive director of Sharlot Hall Museum.
All proceeds go to the Prescott Western Heritage Foundation, Inc., a 501C3 More details to follow as planning continues.
