ENOUGH! Plays to End Gun Violence is showcased nationwide on October 6th in a stage reading format. Every year, youth from around the country are invited to submit their plays for selection. 6 plays are chosen and shared nationwide in a stage reading format. Sauk Prairie youth, business owners & community leaders are bringing this stage reading to Sauk Prairie! Performance in Leola Hall.
Additionally, Sauk Prairie's stage reading is a Girl Scout Gold Award Project.
Admission is FREE!
6:00 pm: Welcome reception with snacks & refreshments
7:00 pm: Stage reading begins (6 ten minute plays)
8:00 pm: Talk back with actors, community leaders and trauma informed facilitator

"The Perfect Victim" by Payton Aurora Jones -
Between the bullet and the obituary are a hundred split-second decisions. For honor-student Malik and his best friend, Jay, the aftermath of a gunshot reveals the fragility of flawed systems, the strength of connected community, and the injustice of stolen youth.
"We Didn't Have to Meet Here" by Pace Rundlett -

"Underwraps" by Olivia Stanley -
In a young woman’s all-too-familiar story, a lyrical love ballad twists into a nightmare of violence, secrecy, and deception. A haunting, richly poetic reminder that the pain we hide unravels us all in the end.
