Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve
Upper Shad Road, Pound Ridge, United States
Take a walk back in time with Westchester Land Trust’s resident geologist and Program Manager, Kim Fendrich, as we explore the Hudson Valley’s rich and complex geologic history. The cliffs, rolling hills, and rivers that we call home were sculpted by a billion years’ worth of landscape evolution, evidenced in rock formations at Zofnass Family Preserve.
We’ll cover about 3 miles round trip, with plenty of stops for discussion and observation. The route will include uneven or rocky terrain, hills, and potentially muddy conditions.
Leashed dogs are welcome.
