Learn how native plants support healthy ecosystems, help combat invasvie species, and contribute to resilient shorelines. This workshop will feature an expert presentation followed by an optional guided plant walk to explore native species in their natural habitat.

Info: Native plant expert, Irene Weber, will give a presentation on the importance and uniqueness of native plant communities. Jade Jarvis will highlight the vital role native plants play in suppressing the spread of noxious weeds. Christina Kereki will share insights on shoreline native plants and their environmental benefits.
Info: Irene will be guiding an optional plant walk through the Island Lake Park to put your newfound native plant knowledge into practice!
