ABOUT SPRING AWAKENING:
Spring Awakening is a Tony Award-winning rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater. The musical is based on the controversial 1891 play of the same title by Frank Wedekind. Set in late-nineteenth century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of Human sexuality.

ABOUT PDP:
This production is presented as part of our Professional Development Program, created and directed by Schuylkill County native and professional theatre artist Sarah Elizabeth Yorke. Now in its second year, this initiative was designed to offer accessible, high-quality theatrical experiences for young artists in Schuylkill County and surrounding counties. Last year we kicked off this program with the wildly popular Ride the Cyclone, we have since expanded into Columbia County, where we recently produced Athena by Gracie Gardner at the Alvina Krause Theatre.
Our goal is to provide memorable, meaningful, and empowering experiences that not only develop performance skills, but also strengthen confidence, collaboration, and community.
