Great Falls Ecology Walk Hike Educational Program
During our guided hike along the River Trail and Towpath students will deepen their understanding by exploring a variety of plants and animals in their natural homes, discover how their habitats meet their needs, and see ways they’ve adapted to survive. We’ll also learn how invasive species can change the balance of an ecosystem.
Remember to dress for the weather and pack your lunches and water bottles!
Programs will continue in light rain or snow. Please review the weather forecast the day before to prepare.
Students will spend a large part of the day walking on the towpath, which is a dirt path, sometime muddy. Please wear appropriate footwear, ie. sneakers or boots. Flip flops, slip-on shoes, or sandals are not appropriate and present a safety issue.
