Sound Waves - creative writing showcase

A popular highlight of the Swell calendar, Sound Waves is an entertaining evening featuring some of the very best writers in the North of Ireland as they tell their stories and read their poetry.

Founded in 2022 by Impspired Publishing Press, Sound Waves aims to promote both creative writing and spoken word performance. Over the last few years, the Competition and Showcase Event has gone from strength to strength.

Already chosen by an International Panel of Judges, twelve winners will be entertaining you for the evening. Three trophies will also be allocated - for Best Prose, Best Poetry and Best Performance - chosen by a Local Panel.

With free entry, an invitation to BYOB and cabaret seating, a warm welcome is issued to you all.
